Translation rating: Four stars
Yupinglou Hotel, formerly known as Wenshuyuan, is said to have been built by the monk Pumen in 1613. Throughout history, it has been destroyed by fires multiple times. The current main building of Yupinglou Hotel was constructed in 1955. It is situated atop the 1,716-meter-high Yuping Peak, resembling a magnificent palace in the sky. To the left, there is the "Lion Stone," and to the right, the "Elephant Stone," creating a natural haven known as the "Guardian of Wenshu." The treasured Welcome Pine, a symbol of the nation, is also located nearby.
Yupinglou Hotel consists of two traditional Chinese-style buildings constructed along the mountainside, connected by corridors, with a total building area of 3,200 square meters. The hotel currently offers two suites, over 50 standard rooms, and various grades of economy rooms. The rooms are equipped with imported heaters, warm down jackets, direct-dial telephones, exquisite furniture, satellite TV, 10 Mbps broadband, and partitioned shower rooms with hot and cold water available around the clock.
The hotel also features a variety of Chinese and Western-style restaurants, offering a range of cuisine including Anhui, Cantonese, Zhejiang, and Sichuan dishes, all prepared by renowned chefs.
