Qimen Black Tea

Qimen Black Tea, commonly known as Qihong, is a renowned Chinese black tea. It is made from the leaves of the local Zhuye variety of tea plant, also known as Qimen variety. Qimen Black Tea has a long history and is considered a historical famous tea in China. Its origins can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty, as mentioned in Lu Yu's "Classic of Tea."


Qimen Black Tea is produced in Qimen County, Dongzhi, Guichi (now Chizhou City), Shitai, Yixian in Anhui Province, as well as the Fuliang area in Jiangxi Province.
